How You Can Support the Buxtehude Consort
Attending
We believe that the music we are performing is worth hearing, and the most important way you can support The Buxtehude Consort is by coming to our concerts and bringing your friends, family and colleagues. Ticket sales are an important source of revenues for our ensemble, but good audiences are also a key metric for us to show corporations, foundations and government grantors that what we do is important and valued in the community. Please spread the word, bring your friends and family to our concerts (tickets make a wonderful gift), and sign up for our email.
Giving
The generous contributions of individuals, foundations and government support are a key source of funding for our ensemble. We use these donated funds – in addition to revenues from ticket and advertising sales – to pay our musicians and artistic director, to pay for music scores for the works we perform; travel costs; instrument rental, tuning and moving fees (in particular for the continuo organ we use); and fees at the venues where we perform (typically only sexton fees). You may give securely at the Donate link to the right, at our concerts, or by sending a check to:

Sponsoring and Advertising
Becoming a sponsor of a concert (or season!), or advertising in our program books, lets your current and potential clients and customers know that you support the arts in their community. If you are interested in advertising with us or becoming a sponsor, please contact us at admin@buxtehudeconsort.org.
Volunteering
To keep our costs low, we have a team of volunteers who help with marketing and fundraising, receptions, ushering, and ticket sales. If you would like to volunteer, please contact us at volunteer@buxtehudeconsort.org.
As an organization, we make every attempt to ensure that we are paying our musicians market rates commensurate with their skills and experience. We hire professional musicians, and music is not only our passion, but also our livelihood. We spend frugally on anything not directly related to our music-making, eschewing glossy advertising campaigns in favor of free electronic media and, where possible, donated professional services.
The Buxtehude Consort is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and your contributions to the Buxtehude Consort are tax-deductible.
